Martin Goebel

Martin has nearly 35 years of experience in natural resources management and sustainable development.
Martin has founded the offices and/or led the establishment of several conservation and groups in the US and Mexico, including The Nature Conservancy (TNC), Conservation International (CI), World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Fondo Mexicano para la Conservación de la Naturaleza (FMCN), Sustainable Northwest (SNW) and LegacyWorks Group/Mexico (LWG).
He has served on several non-profit, philanthropic, and Oregon Governor-appointed boards. Currently, he serves on the boards or advisories of FMCN, Mesoamerican Reef Fund (MAR Fund), SNW, Center for Renewable Energy and Environmental Quality (CERCA) in La Paz, Rusted Gate Farm (Medford, OR), Cuenca Los Ojos (along the US-Mexico border), ReSiMar (Guerrero) and Ridge-to-Reef Alliance/Costa Alegre (Jalisco).
Martin has received several awards including the Earle A. Chiles Award Conservation Award (Bend, Oregon), and the Alumni of the Year Award from Oregon State University.
